This paper reviews the deployment of these bio-signals in the state of art of control systems. The main aim of this paper is to describe the techniques used for (i) collecting EMG and EEG signals and diving these signals into segments (data acquisition and data segmentation stage), (ii) dividing the important data and removing redundant data from the EMG and EEG segments (feature extraction stage), and (iii) identifying categories from the relevant data obtained in the previous stage (classification stage). Furthermore, this paper presents a summary of applications controlled through these two bio-signals and some research challenges in the creation of these control systems. Finally, a brief conclusion is summarized. & 2015 Chongqing University of Posts and Communications. Production and Hosting by Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

A New Intelligent Approach to Patient-cooperative Control of Rehabilitation Robots
This paper presents a new intelligent method to control rehabilitation robots by mainly considering reactions of patient instead of doing a repetitive preprogrammed movement. It generates a general reference trajectory based on different reactions of patient during therapy. Three main reactions has been identified and included in reference trajectory: small variations, force shocks in a single ...
متن کاملTask-space Control of Electrically Driven Robots
Actuators of robot operate in the joint-space while the end-effect or of robot is controlled in the task-space. Therefore, designing a control system for a robotic system in the task-space requires the jacobian matrix information for transforming joint-space to task-space, which suffers from uncertainties. This paper deals with the robust task-space control of electrically driven robot manipula...
متن کاملLocomotor Sub-functions for Control of Assistive Wearable Robots
A primary goal of comparative biomechanics is to understand the fundamental physics of locomotion within an evolutionary context. Such an understanding of legged locomotion results in a transition from copying nature to borrowing strategies for interacting with the physical world regarding design and control of bio-inspired legged robots or robotic assistive devices. Inspired from nature, legge...
متن کاملStability Analysis and Robust PID Control of Cable Driven Robots Considering Elasticity in Cables
In this paper robust PID control of fully-constrained cable driven parallel manipulators with elastic cables is studied in detail. In dynamic analysis, it is assumed that the dominant dynamics of cable can be approximated by linear axial spring. To develop the idea of control for cable robots with elastic cables, a robust PID control for cable driven robots with ideal rigid cables is firstly de...

Our research focuses on the use of Planning & Scheduling (P&S) technology for a team of robots providing daily assistance to multiple elder adults living in retirement facilities. Multi-user assistance and group-based activities require robots to plan and schedule their human-robot interaction (HRI) activities based on the specific needs, time constraints, availability and preferences of the mu...
